Joe Jackson from Memphis has been selected for StatSheet's C-USA Player of the Week for February 6th. Jalen Jones from Southern Methodist has earned StatSheet's C-USA Freshman of the Week. And last but certainly not least, Memphis's Joe Jackson has received StatSheet's C-USA 6th Man of the Week. Jackson put up huge numbers in rebounding (2.5 per game), scoring (14 pts per game), and assists (5.5 per game). The Memphis sophomore put these numbers up in a win against Xavier and a loss to Southern Miss.

Jackson contributed 3 assists and 66% shooting in 18 minutes in a 75-72 loss to Southern Miss. In the next game he led all scoring with 14 points and added 8 assists in a narrow 72-68 win over Xavier.

This is the first time this season that Joe Jackson has been selected StatSheet C-USA Player of the Week. However, he has received multiple honorable mentions. The runner-up this week is Southern Miss senior Darnell Dodson. Honorable mention goes to junior LaShay Page from Southern Miss. Darrius Morrow was the highest ranking player from East Carolina, finishing 17th.

StatSheet C-USA Freshman of the Week: Southern Methodist's Jalen Jones

Jalen Jones averaged 29 minutes as a starter for Southern Methodist. His average in free throws (5.5 per game) topped all C-USA freshmen. In a 62-43 loss to East Carolina, Jones led the Mustangs in scoring with 11 points and in rebounding with 8. In a 59-52 loss to UCF, he led scoring with 16 points on 66% shooting.

This is the first StatSheet C-USA Freshman of the Week award for Jalen Jones. The runner-up is Ricky Tarrant from Tulane. Honorable mention goes to Julian Washburn from Texas-El Paso.

StatSheet C-USA 6th Man of the Week: Memphis's Joe Jackson

Joe Jackson, a 6-1 Sophomore guard, averaged 24 minutes over the two games for the Tigers. In the loss to Southern Miss, Jackson got 3 assists and 66% shooting. Then in the win over Xavier, he led all scoring with 14 points and added 8 assists.

This is the first StatSheet C-USA 6th Man of the Week win for Joe Jackson. Darnell Dodson, a senior guard from Southern Miss, is runner up. Neil Watson, a sophomore guard from Southern Miss, receives honorable mention. The highest ranking 6th man from East Carolina was Robert Sampson who finished 6th. East Carolina players have been named StatSheet C-USA Player of the Week 2 times this season.
